About the project
unIT-e² mobilizes the digital energy transition
In the unIT-e² project, 29 companies and research institutes are working on the optimal integration of electromobility into the energy system. Within the framework of four so-called "clusters", several field tests, as well as laboratory investigations, are taking place. The practical projects are accompanied by the research and grid subprojects, which support the consortium in overarching topics and accompany it with their own research projects.

The goal of unIT-e² is the customer-oriented and economical integration of electromobility into the energy system. In this way, we want to utilize the potential of renewable energies and existing grid infrastructure in the best possible way.
Implementation
In unIT-e², we combine perspectives from business and research.
We focus on intelligent and sustainable solutions and an interdisciplinary consortium along the energy industry value chain. The concepts developed are demonstrated and tested close to the customer in real laboratories.
Result
In unIT-e², interoperable, standardized, and simple concepts for electromobility are being developed.
We enable grid- and market-oriented charging strategies that also create convenient business models with additional revenue opportunities for users of sustainable mobility.

In keeping with the project's name, unity. Contentwise, unIT-e² focuses on intelligent solutions that serve the market and the network. This is what the IT in the project name stands for.
